The twists and turns in Missouri

     The Joplin Tornado killed ninety people so far. It was about six miles long and destroyed many buildings, including the medical center. Medical records were found sixty miles away. Hail, the size of softballs, crushed houses and cars before the tornado came. It is said that this storm is going to hit eastern states tonight. This is just devastating. Imagine being a person in this church. You would be gone. Along with the trees. As long as the storm dies down before it hits us, we'll be fine.

NASA calls off space launch

     NASA called off the space shuttle launch because of a heater failure. "Commander Mark Kelly and his crew were on their way to the launch pad, when NASA halted the countdown. The astronauts' van did a U-turn and returned the astronauts to crew quarters"(http://www.npr.org/). Another try for the launch will be Sunday very early. Engineers did not know what the problem was so the launch was halted. Mark Kelly is married to wounded congresswomen Gabrielle Giffords.

   About 230 million years old this dinosaur still looks ferocious. You and me both would most likely not want to go against that. They call this breed of dinosaur the Eodromaeus. You might say this dinosaur looks fast, Eodromaeus stands for dawn runner. It wasonly about four feet tall and weighed ten to fifteen pounds. Not big but definitely strong. This was a carnivore because it belonged to the therapod group along with the T- Rex. I don't care how tough you are, this dinosaur has some chompers. No way I would want to verse an Eodromaeus in a battle, I would have to be a bigger, worser dinosaur.

Freeze Findings

      The European Space Agency's spacecraft has found the most enormous, ice cold galaxy super clusters. This material was found in the Milky Way. This was first found today, January 11, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. These findings will enable astronomers to study the very beginning of how stars are formed. That's so exciting!
 These freeze findings were as low as 7 degrees above zero. Also, there were clouds. These clouds were measured thirty times the size of the solar system. It seems to me like it's snowing up there! The reason why I wanted to blog about this is because the title just popped out at me. Also I love stars. Ever since I was nine I wanted a telescope and research stars. My wish never came true yet. This is what scientists know about the freeze findings.

This is a pic of a red fox laying down at the zoo. This is a predator because it will eat anything that it sees. For example, rats, rabbits, mice, etc. This is a very strong, fast animal. If you were caught dead eye with this predator, it will be pretty hard to out chase it. They look nice but they are fierce animals. This is one of the many examples of a predator.

This a grass. It is a limiting factor because a lot of animals eat it. For example, cows, goats, and horses. A biotic organism is a limiting factor that is living or once living feature of an ecosystem that limits population size. Grass is a perfect example of a biotic organism because it dies if it does not get enough rain and sun it will die. f it does it will live. This is the end of my first blog
